Human Subjects Protection Training

CITI Program: Protecting Human Research Subject

All members of the research team are expected to complete online training prior to conducting any activities related to the human research. The training requirements can be found here.
University of Arizona research faculty, staff, advisors and students must complete the University of Arizona human subjects component of the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) online training program. The CITI certification is valid for a four-year period, after which time refresher training must be completed. It is recommended that a copy of the completion certificate is printed and maintained.

Training requests
We present training classes across campus throughout the year on request. If you are interested in setting up training on a specific topic, or are interested in having an HSPP member present training at a class, lab or faculty meeting please contact the HSPP.
CBPR training from University of Pittsburgh
The University of Pittsburgh, the Community PARTners (Community Engagement Core) of the University of Pittsburgh Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh's Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Community Research Advisory Board (CRAB) has developed a research ethics training for community partners involved in studies.
